Grace and peace to you and all yours in this New Year. I pray that you will prosper and be in good health, as you are strengthened with might by His Spirit in your inner man.
A word that comes to me about the previous year is that the Lord has sustained us. If you’re still here, and reading this, it’s obvious He has. “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Ps. 55:22 (See also: Gen. 48:15; Ps. 23:1; Ps. 34:10.)
If you’ve encountered some serious resistance and heavy hindrances, it’s a good thing to question, “Why?” Why has the enemy gone to so much effort against “little ole you”? What is he afraid of? And what has he been so desperately trying to stop from happening? Isn’t it great to know that he is a defeated foe?! I have a witness that some battles have been won and that we are very close to some especially wonderful times in the presence of the Lord. And that the end result will be a greatly-increased ability to advance the Kingdom of God. Can you hook your faith to that? Hallelujah!
Life and death is in the power of the tongue. Whichever we choose to speak is what we get to live with. But the devil is tricky. Little by little many have tolerated unbelieving words, and it is beginning to affect their lives. Favor, wisdom, provision, healing, and other good things are being hindered, and many don’t realize the problem is right under their nose: their mouth. One of the best New Year’s resolutions you could make is to continually watch what you say. Make your mouth do its righteous duty. “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.” Don’t say things you don’t mean, don’t believe, or don’t want. Only say what Your Advocate (The Living Word) has told you to say about it. Call it what He calls it. As you listen to the message we’ve included about this, let it stir you up to speak powerful, faith-filled words that God can confirm in your life. If you’ll affirm it, He’ll confirm it.
At the time of this writing, the new church in Sarasota is just days from its first service. There have been too many miracles to recount here that have brought it to this place. There’s been much favor. There is much excitement and anticipation to see why the Lord has done this and what will be revealed of His plan and purposes. I’ve already had a glimpse that the Lord will raise up an arm of ministry through this new church that will reach and strengthen many with the “strong meat” of the Word of God. I’ve been giving thanks to God day and night for such grace upon us all, and for the thousands of our brothers and sisters who have so willingly given of themselves that this might become a reality. You are well-loved by us.
